Shchedryk (Carol of the Bells) vertelt een ontroerend verhaal over cultuur, geschiedenis en de verbindende kracht van muziek. Het lied, wereldwijd bekend als Carol of the Bells, vindt zijn oorsprong in een traditionele Oekraïense volksmelodie en is uitgegroeid tot een symbool van verbondenheid en hoop.
De film volgt drie families — een Oekraïense, een Poolse en een Joodse — die samen in één huis wonen in de stad Stanislav. Zij delen muziek, feestdagen en het alledaagse leven. Hun vreedzame bestaan wordt verstoord door oorlog en ontberingen. Toch blijft de muziek van Carol of the Bells troost, heling en verbinding bieden.

The song, known around the world as Carol of the Bells, comes from a traditional Ukrainian folk melody and has become a symbol of unity and hope.
The film follows three families, Ukrainian, Polish and Jewish, who live together in one house in the city of Stanislav. They share music, celebrations and everyday life. Their peaceful world is disrupted by war and hardship. Yet through it all, the music of Carol of the Bells continues to offer comfort, healing and connection.
An evening of shared experience, encounter and community.
The event is organised with cultural, networking, and fundraising objectives.

Фільм розповідає про три родини — українську, польську та єврейську — які мешкають разом в одному будинку в місті Станіслав. Вони діляться музикою, святами та щоденним життям. Їхній мирний світ руйнує війна та випробування. І навіть у найскладніші часи музика Carol of the Bells продовжує дарувати втіху, зцілення та відчуття зв’язку.
