Tijdens het Scheveningen Surf Film Fest van I Love the Seaside op zaterdag 31 oktober worden films getoond uit de hele wereld over surfen, reizen, avontuur, cultuur en alles ertussenin — soms grappig, soms verrassend, soms met een urgente ondertoon.
Tussen en na de films is er alle tijd voor livemuziek, een drankje, eten en het ontmoeten van filmmakers. Lokale designers en kunstenaars krijgen een plek in de exporuimte (het oude zwembad!). Verwacht dus een surfboardmaker, handgemaakte omkleedponcho’s, fotografie, tassen, illustraties, foto- en reisboeken en meer. Ook zullen Surfrider Foundation Netherlands en de Holland Surf Association aanwezig zijn. Een loterij met fantastische prijzen maakt de avond compleet.
De surfcommunity is hecht, maar groeit gestaag. Deze avond gaat vooral ook om nieuwe vrienden maken en oude vrienden terugzien. Een megagezellige avond voor surfers, oceaanliefhebbers en iedereen die nieuwsgierig is naar de wereld van surfers en hun obsessie met golven en de zee.

An evening of great surf films, stories, art, music, and people who simply love the sea.
On Saturday 31 October, I Love the Seaside’s Scheveningen Surf Film Fest brings films from the surfing world and beyond. Films about surfing, travel, adventure, culture and everything in between — sometimes funny, sometimes thought-provoking, and sometimes with a more urgent message.
Between and after the films, there’s plenty of time for live music, a drink, something to eat and a chat with the filmmakers. Local designers and artists will take over the expo space — the venue’s old swimming pool — with surfboards, handmade changing ponchos, photography, bags, illustrations, photo and travel books and more. Surfrider Foundation Netherlands and the Holland Surf Association will also be there, and a raffle with some brilliant prizes will round off the evening.
The surf community is close-knit, but it’s growing all the time. This evening is as much about meeting new people and catching up with old friends as it is about watching films. Expect a very sociable night for surfers, ocean lovers and anyone curious about the world of surfers and their obsession with waves and the sea.
